First of all, THANKS for keeping us updated on the Claire Burke situation. I cannot understand how such a respected name could suffer from such poor mismanagement. I feel like Claire Burke is on ‘life support’ and needs to be resuscitated. I hope that the new owners can do just that. While I certainly have patience with Freshbet, (after all, they ARE at the mercy of the owners of Claire Burke), I cannot say the same for the owners of Claire Burke. While it is too soon to know how the new owners will handle/improve things, I must say that I am ready to bail for good if they don’t get it together. I miss the days when Tsumura was the owner. Every February, new Spring merchandise arrived with it’s bright, cheery presence on what was often a gray, gloomy day in the Midwest. In September, Christmas goodies arrived with all of their sparkle and glitz, and it was always so exciting. So, it CAN be done. My allegiance to Claire Burke stems from memories made by my Great Grandmother, Grandmother, and my Mother. I suppose this is why I am so passionate and concerned with it’s survival and the respect I feel that it deserves. Here’s hoping…Regards, Lee Baynard
