Loading ...Badger SPF 30 SunScreen
We recently had a customer who was concerned about getting Badger SunScreen when she ordered the Badger SPF Sunblock. This item used to be called Sunblock and we had it loaded on Amazon with that description. At some point Badger changed the product to be a Sun Screen, so Deb inquired with the Factory for clarification.
Here is what they sent us:

Thanks so much for your interest in our products. Our sunscreens used to be called sunblocks, but we changed the name to adhere to FDA regulations. We did not change the formula in any way – just the name. The FDA does not allow products to be labeled as sunblocks. Because our sunscreens contain zinc oxide, we must adhere to the FDA’s regulations.
Sunscreens with a critical wavelength over 370 nm is considered by the FDA to provide excellent UVA protection. Badger SPF 30 has a critical wavelength of 377 nm and Badger SPF 15 has a critical wavelength of 376 nm.
