The other day we had an inquiry from the facility manager for the public library in Hoover, Alabama. She had been approached by a route salesperson who made her aware of the new TC T-Cells.
T-Cells have become incredibly popular for small and mid-sized businesses because they don’t spray or require as many refills. For Vickie, one of the biggest selling points was that the T-Cell was recyclable. Now I was well aware of this point, but when asked precisely how to go about it, I realized I did not know. So, I requested the info from the Factory.

Jen is the T-Cell product line manager and here is her response:
As for recycling the TCell - the fuel cell and the black cap need to be removed and disposed with metals and the rest of the TCell refill (empty of course) can be thrown into the recycling container. You also have to take the plastic container apart - meaning the top under the cap and fuel cell needs to be popped off so you can take the paper out and throw that away.

Also shown below is a response from Kathy in Customer Service at TC:
All refill components are recyclable. Below are the recycle codes for each component of the refill.
Description Plastic Recycle Code
Top Conductor Cap ZYTEL D 7
Fragrance Container BAREX 210 7
Upper Cage Ring PP 5
Outer Cage PP 5
Reservoir Cup LDPE 4
Splash Guard PP 5
Restrictor plug POM 4520 7
Fuel Cell does not contain mercury or cadmium and may be recycled into the metal recycle stream, incinerated, or disposed of in landfill.

I hope this helps our T-Cell customers. There is so much emphasis these days on recycling that I wanted to share this information with everyone.
