New Store Pictures
By freshbet On April 17th, 2009It’s been about 2 months since we moved into our new retail store in downtown Central. While we loved our old spot on Main Street, I’ve just got to say that we REALLY love our new location on Bank Street.
Central is pretty small and we now have 2 traffic lights if you include the one in front of our new Walmart. Wade & I lovingly refer to Central as “Mayberry”. Most folks know each other and we’re pretty low-key around here. Mr & Mrs Herd, our new landlords are delightful seniors who are 80+ years young.
Our new store is such a pleasure because we can park anywhere with no worries and the building is sunnier and just has a great “feel”. The outside isn’t as attractive; but the inside is better. Mrs. Herd ran a flower shop for many years in our building which was originally built in the 1920’s. Apparently it was re-built in the 70’s, but suffice to say it’s been there a long time.
Jenn is working on a new Newsletter header for us so we’ve been taking new pictures of the store. Steven, my son, just finished painting our new rooftop sign and our little store can now be seen from Main Street. Deb & Dawn have been busily decorating our new windows and front porch area for Spring/Summer.
