I have painted my nails for the last 25-30 years and I just can’t tell you how much I love our new Peacekeeper Nail Paint. First, it’s all organic and natural without any formaldehyde or other toxins. It wears like iron and dries super quick. I actually have been able to stop using a base coat and top coat. I found it bubbled when I used standard top/base coats. Now I can slap 2 coats of Peacekeeper Nail Paint on my nails and it’s totally dry within 20 minutes.

When I first saw the Peacekeeper line at the Minneapolis Gift Mart last summer, I noticed they had some beautiful lipsticks and lip glosses. I have been very focused on adding more natural items as I believe we are all tired of chemical-based products.

Now I don’t wear lipstick anymore, but I did wear it for many years when I worked in Corporate America. I continue to be impressed with the folks at PeaceKeepers who donate all their after expense profits to various women’s causes. Their organic products are perfect for Cancer survivors/patients and any woman who values a chemical-free beauty product.

We recently had an inquiry from a customer who wanted to buy a replacement stone & wick assembly for her Scentier Fragrance Lampe. I had not previously considered this, so naturally I contacted the Rep who helped us take care of this right away.

We now stock 4 different size/colors of the Scentier stone and wick assemblies:

Aromatique is a fabulous line of exceptional quality at prices that represent excellent value. We are still learning about Aromatique’s fragrance offerings as we only recently started carrying this line. Deb and I are very impressed with their scents which are quickly becoming some of our personal favorites.

We already stock Peach Pizazz, Fresh Fig, Summer Sorbet, Citrus Plum Berry and Smell of Spring. I recently added the Reed Diffuser Refill oil in Peach Pizazz and Summer Sorbet.

Aromatique has just released a brand new fragrance called Wildflowers which is only available at Gift Stores. Our new Wildflowers is available in Reed Diffuser Set and Reed Diffuser Oil Refill. Because this is a limited offering for summer, they are not offering the room spray in aerosol or 5 oz glass candles. We have also recently added the Fresh Fig Decorative Fragrance (aka potpourri).

Enchanted Meadow does a beautiful job with their potpourri. These gorgeous bags of botanicals are all lovingly hand-assembled at their Canadian plant near Vancouver. Last year they discontinued a long-time favorite called Fleurs de Provence. This year they have introduced their new scent called Prima Fleur which is similar.

Prima Fleur is a romantic and feminine blend of pink botanicals fragranced with complex floral notes of greens, muguet and white jonquil. We are starting out with the bag potpourri, reed diffuser oil refill and refresher oil.

Our new line of Baekgaard Colorful Leather purse accessories has been flying off the shelves. Everyone is loving these bright and cheery colors in the wallets, passport holders and purses. The tartan combinations are especially chic in Azalea Pink, Caribbean Blue and Apple Green.

So, I just couldn’t resist trying some of the headbands. I remember wearing a headband when I was a girl and I think they are back in style again. Our Baekgaard Tartan Headbands are made of all leather with a nice suede inside lining so they don’t slip around on your head.

When I started this business 10 years ago, Claire Burke had a lovely peach scent called Peaches & Dreams. Sadly, it was not very popular and the company discontinued it. We still gets requests occasionally for this classic fruity scent.

Over the years I have seen many scents come into fashion and others discontinued as the trends constantly change in our business. Peach scents have not been really offered over the past 8 years, so you can imagine my surprise and delight when I saw the new Peach Pizazz being offered by Aromatique for 2008.

I took one of their Peach Pizazz votive candles to our hotel room and the fragrance and throw were amazing! I absolutely adore this new scent by Aromatique and I simply cannot describe how fabulous the scent throw was of their candle which completely fragranced an entire room. We are starting out with their room spray, reed diffuser, refresher oil and glass candle.

Aromatique is also bringing back Summer Sorbet in fresh yellow and green colors for Summer 2008. All of the Aromatique sprays and oils are wonderful! They present great value and the scents are true and long-lasting. As our Aromatique business grows, please know we will be adding their lovely Decorative Fragrances (aka Potpourri) to our offering.
