I just want to take a minute to say that not all Reed Diffusers are equal. I recently saw a TV ad for a grocery store product by Glade promoting their new reed diffusers. Of course you can also buy cheaper plug-in refills and Febreze candles, etc.

Our parents always told us “You get what you pay for” and who among us hasn’t found this to be true? So before you dash out and think you’ll be saving lots of money with grocery store brands, BEWARE! Many of these have chemical-based fragrances and no natural oils; thus creating a toxic cocktail that you bring into your home.

Our local customers are loving these beautiful Lamp Paradise effusion style oil-burning lampes. These are similar to Lampeberger but without the prestigious high price.

We started out a few months ago with about 4 styles along with their wonderful lamp oils. (Folks in the business call this type of lamp oil “Juice”.) When we sold out, we decided to offer several new styles which have just recently arrived:
We now offer 9 different styles/colors/sizes.

Effusion lampes are wonderful odor neutralizers that add beautiful fragrance to any room. I personally use mine in the kitchen almost every night after cooking supper. Many ladies use them in the bedroom and they will work wonderfully in any room. The concept is from the late 1800’s when Parisian Hospitals used these to disinfect the air in hospital rooms. The catalytic stone & wick burner somehow neutralizes odors while the scented oil adds great fragrance.

Once you purchase a lamp, the oil will last quite a while depending upon how long and often you burn the lamp. The most important thing with these lamps is to light the stone and let the open flame burn for 2 minutes. (I set my stove timer.) Then blow out the flame and replace the slotted top cap. When you’ve had enough, you remove the slotted cap and replace it with the solid snuffer cap. When refilling, you must let the wick soak up oil for 15-20 minutes before attempting to light.

We offer replacement wick & stone assemblies along with Purifier oil by Greenleaf that will clean your stone or dilute scents that you may find to be too strong.

Now we have 7 new electric tart warmers for use with wax tarts or simmer oil and water. We used to stock more of these and somehow we migrated toward plug-in wall style warmers over the past months. Personally, I prefer the counter style so I thought it was time we expanded our offering with some new styles.

Our new ceramic warmers plug in and utilize a removable dish. When the wax is spent, just pop the dish in the freezer and soon it will easily slide out for disposal. All of these warmers come with an in-line on-off switch and they are UL listed so you know they’re safe.

When we were at the January Gift show in Atlanta, Deb & I spotted these very cute little car air fresheners that look like a cross. They have nice religious sentiments and great fragrance for your car or closet. These sweet little car air fresheners would also be a nice addition to any greeting card as a small gift.

We encourage reducing our waste of spent diffuser bottles by offering the oil and reeds individually by several fine companies like Aromatique, WoodWick, Enchanted Meadow and Greenleaf.

Scented drawer liners are a lovely tradition of days gone-by. We always have someone who is looking for these hard-to-find liners and we wish we had more options to offer our customers. Greenleaf introduced scented drawer liners a few years ago and we sold quite a few. We were so disappointed when they discontinued them.

Last year we discovered Punch Studio offers beautiful scented drawer liners in gorgeous keepsake boxes. We were pleased to offer them and our customers responded. The 4 styles we had in 2008 have been discontinued, but Punch has come out with 4 new styles for 2009.

As a lavender lover, I am glad to see that 2 of them are Lavender scented. The other 2 are Mille-Fleur. Dawn has now gotten these uploaded to both websites and the price has held steady at $21.00 per box of 5 sheets.
