In January, when we visited the gift show, the Aromatique folks gave us samples of their lotion in Grapefruit Fandango, Splendor in the Bath and Fresh Air. The Grapefruit lotion is new and it’s simply wonderful.

Over the past months, I’ve been using those samples and have really grown to love their rich lotion. So, I thought it was time to go ahead and add more Aromatique bodycare for our Freshbet customers. These are very nice lotions that are not greasy and they absorb quickly and really have fabulous fragrance with splendid moisturizing results.

Aromatique bath products are reasonably priced and beautifully presented. Lotions sell for $12.00 each and I find they last a very long time. We have added their Grapefruit Fandango lotion and the smell is so fresh and clean; like a freshly cut Grapefruit.

Fresh Air is not a new scent for Aromatique, but it is a new offering for us at Fresh Bet. I personally LOVE this scent and find myself switching back and forth between Fresh Air and Grapefruit Fandango. We sell alot of Splendor in the Bath which is a more old-fashioned type scent. We have recently had customers requesting bubble bath, so we just added their Splendor Bubble Bath refill which you can place into your own decorative glass container.

It’s been about 2 months since we moved into our new retail store in downtown Central. While we loved our old spot on Main Street, I’ve just got to say that we REALLY love our new location on Bank Street.

Central is pretty small and we now have 2 traffic lights if you include the one in front of our new Walmart. Wade & I lovingly refer to Central as “Mayberry”. Most folks know each other and we’re pretty low-key around here. Mr & Mrs Herd, our new landlords are delightful seniors who are 80+ years young.

Our new store is such a pleasure because we can park anywhere with no worries and the building is sunnier and just has a great “feel”. The outside isn’t as attractive; but the inside is better. Mrs. Herd ran a flower shop for many years in our building which was originally built in the 1920’s. Apparently it was re-built in the 70’s, but suffice to say it’s been there a long time.

Jenn is working on a new Newsletter header for us so we’ve been taking new pictures of the store. Steven, my son, just finished painting our new rooftop sign and our little store can now be seen from Main Street. Deb & Dawn have been busily decorating our new windows and front porch area for Spring/Summer.

When we visited the Aromatique showroom at market last year, my husband Wade really liked the Gentlemens Quarters reed diffuser bottle by Aromatique. It is square and very masculine in a black tortoise shell color combination.

The scent is rugged, with exotic botanicals resembling a classy after-shave. A refill oil is also available.

Just think how sharp this will look on his desk at the office or in his living room!

Last year was our first year as an Aromatique retailer. The folks at Aromatique never disappoint and always provide top-quality home fragrance products at a fair-value price. There are many other home fragrance companies that offer high end items at a boutique prices. At Fresh Bet we really try to focus on great products at more of a mid-range price so we can all afford to indulge our senses.

Last year Smell of Spring sold very well for us and I find it to be a lovely, old-fashioned type of floral scent that reminds me of an English garden.

We are excited to introduce our new line by Kiss Me In The Garden of Fresh Fruit Shea Balms. I sampled this shea balm last year and simply fell in love with the creamy, rich formula. At that time, the scent was an orange and vanilla blend – simply yummy.

These are handmade in California by a small company that produces a mostly all-natural product. These balms contain 15% shea butter which is one of the best known moisturizers available.

Personally I use this on my face as a daily moisturizer because it absorbs quickly and never feels greasy.
